Hi!  I'm Renee- the owner and flower maker of Lakeside Petals. 

 

Lakeside Petals began during a season when I was trying to figure out what was next for me after spending years homeschooling my daughter. I knew I loved being creative, but I had not yet found the thing that truly lit me up.

Fresh flowers never felt like the right fit for me because they are only beautiful for such a short time. I have always loved the idea of flowers that can last and be enjoyed again and again. One day I came across a paper flower tutorial on Pinterest and decided to try making one just for fun. That one flower completely surprised me. I loved the process, the creativity, and the fact that something so simple could turn into something so beautiful.

What started with one paper flower quickly turned into a passion. Soon I was creating larger and larger blooms, eventually designing giant flowers and installations for weddings, stages, and special events.

One of the things I love most about paper flowers is that they are eco friendly and reusable. They do not wilt, they can be enjoyed again and again, and they create beautiful statement pieces without the waste of traditional florals.

Today I design giant paper flowers and backdrops that help transform spaces and make events feel truly special. I also love teaching classes so others can experience the joy of creating their own paper flowers too.
